Ingredients (serves 2)
- 2 firm, ripe British pears, cored and quartered
- 150ml/6fl oz red grape juice
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 cloves
- 1 teaspoon honey
Method
- Mix together the red grape juice, cinnamon, cloves and honey in a small pan and add the pears.
- Poach the pears over a gentle heat for about 20 minutes, turning once or twice.
- Serve the poached pears with a little half fat crème fraiche or Greek yogurt.
